Our Worship Service

Our worship services include the following practices: singing, praying, preaching, giving, and eating the Lord's Supper. Through all of these biblically-based activities we seek to glorify God as we worship Him in His presence.

Singing – “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts” (Colossians 3:16).

We worship God through singing songs to Him. We sing acapella (without instruments).  We find our worship through song to be meaningful, with everyone invited and encouraged to participate in the singing.

Prayers – “Pray continually” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

During our worship services we pray together.  There may be prayers for specific needs and requests.

Preaching – "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work"(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Each Sunday, there is a time of teaching/preaching during the worship assembly.  These messages are biblical, practical, and inspiring. Through the preaching of the Word the church is called to grow in the likeness of Jesus.

Giving – “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

On Sunday mornings trays are passed to collect the weekly financial offering. As our guest, you are not expected to give. The money given each Sunday is used to support the various ministries of the church and our missionaries.

Lord’s Supper - "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer" (Acts 2:42)

When we meet together on Sundays we spend time sharing in the Lord’s Supper (Communion). In this time we remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This supper also reminds us of the following: the bond we each have through the love and grace of God, our need for the atoning sacrifice of Jesus, the joy and hope that comes through the resurrection, and the privilege we have to participate in the mission of God.
