God's Vision for Our Future

The Leander Church of Christ seeks to be a people shaped into the image of Jesus Christ by...

Holding to the Word of God and Prayer:
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and are committed to the continual study and teaching of God's Word to shape us into the image of Jesus Christ.  We believe in the power of prayer, striving to make prayer a part of our daily lives (2 Timothy 3:16-17 & 1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Sharing Life as a Grace-Filled and Diverse Community:
The church is a body of believers who share life together by praying, caring, supporting, and encouraging one another.  As such, we recognize both the need for grace in our own lives and the necessity of sharing it with others.  Our hope is that practicing this grace will allow everyone to feel welcomed (Acts 2:42-47, Romans 3:23, 12:15, Ephesians 2:8, & Galatians 6:2).

Loving Our Neighbors Near and Far:
We believe in sharing the love of God throughout our local community and into all the world.  This is accomplished by evangelism, neighborliness, service, prayer, and generosity (Matthew 22:37-40, 25:25-40, 28:18-20, & 2 Corinthians 5:16-21).

Cultivating Youth and Family Discipleship:
We desire healthy relationships among all families in our church and local community.  We will nourish, care for, enrich, and equip youth and families, preparing them for a life lived in Christ (Deuteronomy 6:6-9 & Ephesians 4:11-13).

Engaging in Life-Changing Worship:
We aim at creating a meaningful and participatory worship experience that draws worshippers to the heart of God.  As we assemble, we anticipate the coming of His Spirit in our midst to transform us into the image of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2, 1 Corinthians 14:26, & Colossians 3:15-17).

Vision Implementation Team

The purpose of the team is to ensure that the Leander Church of Christ is actively and intentionally living toward the stated vision.  The team members meet quarterly from 1:30-2:30 in Classroom A.  If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, you can see one of the team members or email the team directly at VisionImplementation@leanderchurch.org.
