LADIES' DAY 2017
Thank you to everyone who helped make our Ladies' Day on March 4th a success! We had 85+ ladies join us for a great time of fellowship.
Women truly are the heart of our congregation. Women seem to be experts at sharing their love in so many different ways. Sisters in Service is our Women's Ministry at Leader Church of Christ.
This is a ministry comprised of women of all ages that provides love and care for our congregation and our community in various ways. While we can't list everything we do, here are some of our organized ministries.
This ministry helps women, locally or away, that need supplies for their babies.
We make cards for birthdays, anniversaries, and the sick. This is a great opportunity to fellowship with other women as we encourage the church members.
Food For Funerals
We arrange food to be prepared for funerals and then help serve the food to the grieving family. We want the family to be together and encourage one another without worry about a meal.
Ladies Night Out
Life is so hectic and women wear so many different hats in their lives. We deserve a chance to take some time to enjoy a meal together and fellowship with one another. We try to have a night out once a month.
We keep track of and post addresses of our families who are in the military. This allows the entire congregation to be able to keep in touch and encourage those who are away from home serving our country.
This is similar to "secret sisters" except that instead of gifts we pray for our sister for about six weeks. At the end of the six weeks, we have a reveal dinner and exchange a small gift.
Higher Ground Hill Country Ministries sponsors renewal weekends. The desire is to create a deeper relationship with God and a better understanding of His unconditional love and forgiving heart. It's also an opportunity for us to build friendships with some new sisters.
Baby showers and wedding showers are held for the women of our congregation. This gives the families a chance to show support for the growth of the church body.
