Rob Long - Preaching Minister
I began working with the Leander congregation in June 2014 as the Preaching Minister. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Bible/Ministry and an M.Div. from Oklahoma Christian University and have served congregations in Oklahoma (Edmond Church of Christ and Britton Road Church of Christ) and Ohio (Echo Meadows Church of Christ) before coming to Leander. I enjoy spending time with my wife, Sarah, and my two daughters, Adelyn and Audrey. I also enjoy golf, hunting, Ohio State football, and now Texas barbecue. I’m originally from Toledo, Ohio and Sarah is from Lawton, Oklahoma. We met at Oklahoma Christian University and were married in the summer of 2008. We’re thankful to be a part of the Leander Church of Christ!

Whit Pennock - Family Minister
God called me to ministry at the Leander Church of Christ in June of 1983. I served as the youth minister for 15 years and I am presently serving as the family minister. I also served the church in Leander as a Shepherd for 7 years. I received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in Austin. I married Debby (Singleton) Shelley on April 23, 2011 and we have many wonderful adventures together in life and ministry.  God led us together after the loss of our mates to cancer, so we both have a heart for those who have experienced loss.  We have 5 children and 8 grandchildren whom we love and cherish.

God, my family, and the Church at Leander have been a source of strength through 33 years of ministry in Leander. My ministry philosophy can be summed up in this statement…”If God can use me in someone’s life each day for His purpose and glory, then it has been a great day!”

Alan Gower - Youth Minister
I began serving the Leander Church of Christ as the Youth Minister in March of 2012. Prior to coming to Leander, I served as the Youth Minister at the Elliott Street Church of Christ in Breckenridge, TX as I continued my studies at Abilene Christian University. I graduated from ACU in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Youth and Family Ministry and then again in 2011 with the Master of Divinity degree. I married my wife, Tracy Gower in her home town of Fort Collins, CO on May 24, 2008 and we welcomed our first child, Caleb, into the world on July 1, 2015!
I firmly believe youth ministry should be relational as we seek to encourage and support one another as we live out our faith on a daily basis.

Darrell Hutson - Education Minister
Darrell Hutson began working with the Leander Church of Christ in the fall of 2012.    He is married to Cynthia and they have two daughters, Haley and Hope, and a son, Hayden.  Cynthia teaches at Brentwood Christian School.  Before coming on staff as the Education Minister, Darrell taught at Brentwood Christians School.  Darrell grew up in East Tennessee and attended the University of Tennessee, with a degree in Engineering.  He enjoys spending time with his family, listening to gospel music, and reading books on history.

Vinicio Montesdeoca - Spanish-Speaking Minister
Vinicio Montesdeoca came to us from Cuenca, Equador in 2009 and is currently attending the Abilene Christian University. He is a graduate of Austin Graduate School of Theology as well. Vinicio worked as Dean of Students and taught Bible and Theology at Cuenca Theological Institute. Now he serves as the pulpit minister with the Spanish-speaking church in Leander. Vinicio and his wife, Rachel have two children - Luke and Keren.

Vinicio says, "Church is good for me.  Preaching and teaching the Bible is my life. The culture is different but my work in the church here reminds me of home. The members in Leander are eager to learn and to develop relationships."

Janet Brewster - Church Secretary
Our church secretary is Janet Brewster. She handles such tasks as greeting visitors to the building during the week, church correspondence, ensuring prayer request are sent out to the entire church family, creating the church bulletin and a myriad of other jobs throughout the week.

Janet has a very caring spirit and is truly concerned about our church. That is why she loves her job. Make sure you support her and pray for her as she works diligently in this ministry.
